ain't no party like a wei party
WHO: ALL OF YOU.
WHAT: Cao Cao's throwing a hugeass party at camp. Mingle, get to know each other and remember who paid for that booze! Create your own threads, threadjump and have fun.
WHERE: The metaspace that is the camp area.
WARNING(S): Beyond typical party shenanigans, not much.
[What is there not to like about a party? Especially if it's hosted by someone like Cao Cao. Never let it be said that Cao Cao didn't know how to party.
The camp was festooned with dark blue banners with the crest of the Kingdom of Wei on them. Whether you like it or not, it's a reminder of who put this on in the first place - but it seems like tonight is not to be a night for hostilities. (any attempt to change the decor, and cao cao will sic his bodyguards on you.)
There was an abundance of food and drink, ranging from small dainty snacks that could be picked up with your hands to a variety of spit roasted animals to satisfy that craving for meat. Drinks ranged from the mildest teas to the hardest forms of alcohol from both Japan and China, for the bravest amongst the warriors. and Needless to say, everything in-between was provided.
So, relax. Enjoy the party. The snakes can be dealt with later.]

[She means no disrespect- but a little bit of sake might help to loosen him up.]

[He's certainly not thinking about touching the alcohol. It most certainly would loosen him up; far too much, in fact. Mitsuhide is so sensitive to alcohol, and so quick to become intoxicated, that he avoids drinking it whenever possible.]
no subject
[Because... he could. From what Nobunaga had seen so far, anyway.]

[Mitsuhide bows his head. There is everything he needs to make tea on a table a few steps away from them, so he moves towards it and begins to make it with a practised hand, rather than get a servant to do the job.]
[He's quite happy to things like that for himself, and besides, he's quite particular about how he likes his tea.]
[After a moment of hesitation, Mitsuhide pauses in his task to lower his mask away from his mouth.]
It is difficult to process the fact that I am currently at one of those parties.

I do understand what you mean. Though I had read about them myself, I never dreamed of ever participating one. It seems as though something which simply happens in one's fantasies.
And yet here we are. I suppose we might as well make the most of it, while the opportunity is available to us.

[The samurai sounds sincere, but there isn't much energy in his voice. Once he would have taken such an opportunity by the hands and gotten everything he possible could out of it.]
They say he was... is fond of poetry parties, especially.
[Mitsuhide finished making his tea. He regards it critically for a moment before picking the vessel and blowing softly over it.]
[That done, he turns around again.]
I suppose being able to weave beautiful poems while intoxicated requires quite a bit of talent. One thing is for certain; I would not be able to manage such a feat.
no subject
[Though they're talking about Cao Cao, Nobunaga is rather distracted by Mitsuhide and what he's doing-- in fact, she seems a lot more fascinated by that than the subject of their conversation.]
no subject
[There is the ghost of a smile on Mitsuhide's lips for a moment.]
So I think 'practice' is the only possible answer.
[He certainly doesn't seem aware that Nobunaga is more focused on him than the discussion. Mitsuhide takes a sip of his tea, and sighs softly. There is, at the very least, a certain soothing quality to the drink.]
no subject
I suppose that is true. A man such as him would never have made it this far in life if he let anything stop him. Perhaps there is something to be learned from that.
no subject
Perhaps. [Mitsuhide's voice is soft, and overly quiet.] He is certainly a great man; that much cannot be denied.
no subject
Has something I said troubled you?
no subject
Mere memories, my Lady. You do not need to be concerned, I assure you.
