WHO: Mitsuhide (of the SW3 flavour) and whoever.
WHAT: Eventual shaving! And some serious being down, but being courageous too. ♥
WHERE: An obvious spot in the camp!
WARNING(S): Nothing yet.
~
It was not working anymore.
Sat down in the center of the camp, a samurai with long, black hair and a somewhat tattered, well-used cloak was regarding a shining item in his hands. He was frowning, and looked rather unsure. There was a very good reason for this, though it was not something one could work out by merely looking upon him.
Mitsuhide had held onto the Tenkai guise for a very long time, working hard to shield his face and conceal his name from the many who would otherwise recognise him. But too many had, and shown no anger or hatred.
Not yet, anyway.
They had to have come from another time, judging by the way they had talked. Different worlds entirely, in the case of some. It wasn't easy to work everybody out; indeed, Mitsuhide might say downright impossible. There was every chance that he had simply missed the dark feelings in the hearts of those he had wronged. But he could not run, not in this place. There might be a thousand or more places he could safely conceal himself, but it wouldn't be right. Here, in the world crafted by the serpent demon Orochi, there was something he could still do for others.
Mitsuhide turned the mirror over in his hands several times before actually looking into it. The man in the reflection was clearly tired, in more ways than one; there were thick black circles beneath his eyes and a rare scattering of short hairs across his chin.
"I need to shave," he muttured to himself.
It was time to be Mitsuhide again, no matter what problems that might cause him.
Putting his mirror down for a moment, the samurai began to look through his bag for the rest of the items he would need to get the task done.

Lord Mitsuhide! Lord Mitsuhide, look!
[Though what Nobuchika wants Mitsuhide to look at isn't quite clear.]
no subject
Nobuchika.
[The samurai bows his head, and takes in Nobuchika's excited demeanour. What on earth?]
What do you have there?
no subject
I drew it myself! This is a Lapras. [He points at it.] That's Lord Mitsuhide's strongest and most famous partner, in the world I come from. Also... the kingdom ruled by Lord Mitsuhide, the kingdom of Nixtorm, is said to be home to the legendary Pokémon of Ice. I've never seen it myself, but I've seen drawings of it, so I drew that, too. [He points at the Articuno.]
What do you think, Lord Mitsuhide?
[While not nervous about receiving Mitsuhide's opinion, Nobuchika is, however, a little expectant.]
no subject
Oh... goodness. A beautiful sea-creature, she is...
[Mitsuhide pauses as his gaze sweeps over the other beast depicted on the image. Something about it draws him in completely.]
A legendary pokémon?
[He reaches out a hand, not quite touching the picture but ghosting his fingertips over it.]
It looks like some kind of divine beast, a blessed spirit of heaven.

Well, it is and it isn't, depending on who you ask! Some think that legendary Pokémon are just normal Pokémon, only a little stronger than the others. Other worship them as rulers of the elements and creators of our homeland of Ransei. Entire wars are waged over this, believe it or not. Which side do you think you'd take if you lived there? I mean... Lord Mitsuhide already lives there, but I mean, you you.
[Because only a son of Motochika could so quickly embrace and master the concept of the same brave souls living across different worlds and yet gaining differing hues and facets as their experiences shape them.]

[Mitsuhide draws his hand back. That kind of war sounds very disturbing, to him, but he cannot truly form a full opinion on the matter, can he? He doesn't know much of that other world.]
I cannot judge without knowing the full details. All I can say is that my core duty as a samurai is to protect the innocent, and watch over those unable to protect themselves.
[A deep sigh.]
It seems few places are unaffected by battle.

It's just a phase, I think. A long one, maybe... But just a phase in the end. Things will settle eventually, under the rule of the man who shows the strongest resolve. We'll have peace then!
Lord Mitsuhide! Do you think your daughter would appreciate a drawing like this, too? In my world, she has very cute Pokémon.
