[So it turned out that Bao Sanniang hadn't been joking about riding the elephants after all. Guan Suo hadn't exactly taken the suggestion at face value, and they'd never had the chance to do it in the end, while they were in their own worlds. But this was Orochi's world now, and so that was one of the first things that she'd thought to do.

And now here they were, with the elephants right there in front of them, and... There was really no turning back now, was there?]

Are you sure that they're safe? What if we fall off? [It was a rational fear, okay!]

I'm not scared- and hey, isn't that a little backwards? I'm the one that's supposed to catch you.

[That was his role as Prince Charming, after all! Though her teasing is enough to make him feel a little more confident-- at least, until she says that she has no idea how to get on one.]

They're trained to let people ride them, aren't they? So maybe... [They were pretty big, but it couldn't be impossible. Hopefully they wouldn't be shy around humans.]

I could give you a hand up?

Oh, Guan Suo, that's so romantic. [Puts one hand on her right cheek and lets out a dreamy, fangirl sigh. Her face turns just a little light pink, and she offers her free hand to him.] Thank you so much~! I hope I'm not too heavy for you.

[Her strong reaction caused his cheeks to flush in turn, though he tried to dismiss it. Tried and failed, of course, but Guan Suo quickly focused on taking her hand.]

I'm sure it'll be no trouble at all - I'll take care of you. [A bright smile.] Are you ready?

Always ready when you are, Guan Suo. [Returns the smile back with her own; it's the "wow my boyfriend is amazing and i'm in love ~~with a fairytale~~" smile. She holds his hand and prepares herself ~~for a magic elephant ride.~~]

The best way to do this is... probably for you to get up on my shoulders, so you can get the added height. Do you think that'll work?

[The question is a serious one, but he's going to use it as an excuse to keep holding her hand, anyway.]

[Oh, Suo. How romantic of him.] If that's a lot easier for you, no problem! [Removes her hand away from his and moves behind him.] Get down and I'll climb right on~ but be careful! I'm delicate. [Nah, she's not really. She's just teasing him.]

[She shouldn't talk like that, otherwise he might start to worry that he'll actually drop her after all...! Not that he's going to, if he has anything to do with it. He kneels down so that she can hop up.]

I guess practice makes perfect with something like this, and we might find a more practical way later on.

[... pause.] You don't really think I'm going to drop you, do you?

[Hops up onto his shoulders carefully.] Wha-? No, of course not! Even if you did, I knew you'd catch me. [Waiting for him to hoist her up.] You should relax a little; it's just friendly elephant ride~

I'll always be here to catch you, no matter what might happen. [Though right now "no matter what" happens to include balancing her precariously on his shoulders... ah, well. There's nothing else for it, and he slowly hoists her up.]

It's not the ride that I'm worried about, anyway. [They have to actually get up there first!]

[She loves him. She really does. Which is why she decides to flail around a bit - he's such an easy target, she couldn't help it. She teases him by faking herself unbalancing.] Ah- Oh no~!

Wh-- h-hey, careful up there! [Now he's REALLY going to start panicking. But he quickly grabs hold of her, and pulls her back down to the ground so that she's safe.] A-are you all right? [Of course, he's not letting go now.]

[Lets out a mischievous laugh.] Uh huh! I'm alright~ sorry I scared you, Guan Suo. But, you grabbed hold of me when I was starting to fall. That's all that matters. ♥ We should get going before the elephants get tired of waiting for us~.

[Suddenly unsure if she was ever in danger, but he's not going to call it into question. Though his face is flushed again.]

O-of course-- do you think you'll be all right to get up there this time? Should I go first, perhaps?

Of course! Just don't forget to take my hand and pull me up when you get on~. That'd be really embarrassing if you just left me down here. [Puts a hand over her lips and giggles. OKAY OKAY SHE'LL STOP TEASING NOW.]

[;_; he doesn't even know how to react to all this teasing now, his face is going bright red.]

O-of course. You know that I'll take care of you no matter what happens, right?

[sob. his life, his choices.]

See? This is why I love you so much. You really are Mister Right-For-Me.

[Gets behind him and motions him toward the elephant.] Go, go, go, Guan Suo!

[She always knows the right thing to say, and that easily lifts his spirits.]

Then I'd better make sure that I don't change that opinion of yours any time soon.

[Grinning, he finds it considerably easier than her to climb up on the elephant. Though once he's there...]

... geez, I guess I didn't really stop to think just how high this was. Come on, I'll give you a hand!

[It was hard to find a way to stay on the elephant and reach down to pull her up at the same time, but somehow he managed a precarious balance.]

[She looks up at how high Guan Suo's gotten up on the elephant. She was a little worried that he wouldn't be able to extend his hand down for her... but once he did, Bao Sanniang smiled and took his hand.]

Ohh, isn't this romantic, Guan Suo? Doesn't it feel magical?

[Ssh, Guan Suo is magical. Once he's pulled her up with him, he takes a moment to just ... enjoy the view. It is pretty nice up here, isn't it? And besides, with her sitting in front of him, he can slide his arms around her waist. Totally all sneaky-like.]

I think I can say pretty safely that it was definitely worth the effort it took to get this far. I'm glad that you're here with me.
